STUDIO ETIQUETTE & WHAT TO BRING

ARRIVING:

  • Register with the studio here. and book your classes here or via the Hot Yoga DeLand App.

  • Familiarize yourself with the studio by reading the About section, reviewing cancelation/booking policies, checking out the different class descriptions, and reading our Frequently Asked Questions. Please do not hesitate to email or call us with any questions you may have. Please leave a voicemail if prompted and we will return your call pronto! Feel free to text us as well but make sure to state your name in the text!

  • Come prepared. Bring a yoga mat, a large towel to place over your mat, an extra hand towel, and water. If you do not have a yoga mat and towel you may rent one from us.

  • The studio opens 15 minutes prior to the start of class.

  • Check in at the front desk with a team member or using the iPad.

  • New students should arrive early to allow enough time for orientation and to get settled in.

  • Class starts promptly on time and the doors are locked at the start of class. Once the studio doors have been locked, no students will be admitted into class.

  • Refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or strong scents.

  • No shoes in the studio, please leave your shoes with your personal belongings in the lobby cubbies.

  • The lobby is monitored by staff, and the front door will be locked once class begins.

  • Absolutely no cell phones in the practice room. Please speak to the instructor first if you need to be near your phone for emergency reasons.

  • Place your mat in the room and gather any props you'll need for class.

  • Begin arriving on your mat and preparing for your practice.

  • To help create a calm and grounding environment, please keep conversation to a minimum in the studio.

Looking to connect with friends? The lobby is the perfect place to catch up before or after class.


DURING CLASS:

  • The studio door is locked at the start of class, no one will be permitted in once class has started.

  • Please be in the yoga room, set up & ready to begin at the class start time.

  • No talking during class. This is a time for yourself and your practice.

  • Do not leave the room until the class has ended or unless discussed with the instructor. If for any reason you feel you must leave the room, please get the attention of the instructor so they may assist you.

  • This is your practice, honor your body and move at your own pace.

    A few helpful reminders:

    • Stay hydrated and drink water throughout class as needed.

    • Listen to your body and take breaks whenever necessary.

    • Child's Pose, a seated position, or resting flat on your mat are always available options during class.

    During Savasana, we invite you to fully embrace the opportunity to rest and be still. Please refrain from talking during this time so everyone can enjoy the benefits of this final relaxation.


AFTER CLASS:

  • When you leave after your final Savasana, please do so as quietly as you can.

  • Do not hesitate to speak with the instructor regarding your practice or if you have any questions.

  • To help us maintain a clean and welcoming space for everyone:

    • Return all props to their designated storage areas.

    • Spray down and sanitize any props you've used.

    • Wipe up any excess sweat from the floor around your mat.

    • Return cool towels to the basket in the lobby.
